Children Spread Awareness Through Art: Painting Contest Highlights Social Responsibility at Mohan Composite School

Lucknow/Uttar Pradesh : An inspiring initiative aimed at spreading awareness through children’s creativity was held at Composite School Mohan, Hasanaganj, where a painting competition focused on communicable diseases encouraged young minds to become change-makers in their communities.

Organised by Kiran Foundation, the event saw enthusiastic participation from students who used their imagination and colors to address pressing health issues. Chief Guest and Lucknow Municipal Councillor  Gauri Sawariya praised the foundation’s effort and said, “Such initiatives not only enlighten children but also sensitize the larger community. Awareness at the grassroots can significantly contribute to solving societal problems.”

Following the competition, Mohan Chairman Samarjeet Yadav appreciated the school staff and commended Principal Charul Chandra for her leadership. In her address, Chandra lauded Kiran Foundation’s role in supporting underprivileged children through education and awareness programs.

Winners of the competition — Aarushi (Class 7), Iram (Class 8), and Alina (Class 6) — were awarded first, second, and third prizes, respectively. Consolation prizes went to Arisha and Unnati, boosting their self-confidence. A special moment was the distribution of free educational stationery, bringing smiles to the children’s faces.

The event was graced by dignitaries including Councillor Mohsin Akhtar, Amardeep, Khalid Amin, along with teachers Nalini Bajpai, Geeta, Shabana, Ranjana, Mala, Madhu, and Manjari.

Dr. Prem Swaroop Srivastava, Secretary of Kiran Foundation, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the guests and the school community for their support in making the program a success.
